Georgia Chapter of GAPNA

Penny Maynard Memorial Scholarship

Posted about 10 years ago by Stacey Allen Chapman

Hello everyone. I would like to announce that the Georgia chapter of GAPNA is starting a student scholarship in honor of one of our dedicated members and former officers who left us too soon February 23, 2014. Penny Maynard had a true passion for advancing geriatrics and inspired many of us who are members of this chapter. She was an advocate for advanced practice nurses and considered it a priviledge to serve the frail elderly population. We will be collecting donations for the scholarship and are working on setting up an account where you will be able to directly make a contribution. In the interim, if you would like to make a donation, please email me stacey.a.chapman@uhc.com and I will provide you with the needed information. We will also receive any contributions at the quarterly business meetings.
