Salary $120,000 - $150,000 per year

A Bit About Us

We are a local Urgent Care looking to add a Nurse Practitioner to our growing team! We can offer a flexible schedule, including full time or part time. The day to day duties of the NP include the following

• Perform sports physicals
• Oversee urgent care and primary care patient walk ins
• See patients aged 2+
• Average 30 to 35 patients a day in a 12 hour shift
• Perform urgent care duties including minor procedures
• Perform DOT and pre employment physicals
• Review patients’ workers’ comp injuries
• Work with a healthcare team, including MDs, RNs and MAs

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic Urgent Care team. This role is vital in providing high-quality patient care and services in our fast-paced, urgent care environment. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate healthcare professional with expertise in diagnosing and treating patients with acute illnesses or injuries. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in our Urgent Care department, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

• Performing comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations.
• Diagnosing and treating common acute illnesses and injuries.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab work.
• Prescribing medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures.
• Providing health education and counseling to patients and their families.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.
• Documenting all patient care in the electronic medical record in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Participating in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and patient care programs.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adhering to infection-control policies and protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
• Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPC).
• Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an urgent care or emergency room setting.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical records and medical software systems.
• Ability to make quick decisions and handle a high patient volume.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
