Shaping the Future of Advanced Practice in Aging Care and Beyond
The landscape of advanced practice nursing in Georgia is constantly evolving and has seen significant changes over the past year, not just in geriatric clinical topics but in regulation, policy, and education. This year's conference will focus on state policy and practice updates, ensuring thorough understanding of APRN scope, as well as a selection of important clinical updates in urology and dementia.
The conference will take place on Saturday, March 7th at the Park Springs Life Community in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Georgia GAPNA’s mission is to promote high standards of healthcare in all areas of geriatrics, including acute care, home and primary care, assisted living, and long-term care. This multi-disciplinary educational meeting attracts nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, pharmacists, and licensed professional clinicians across the Southeast.
The learning experience will include:
- Continental Breakfast
- Sessions will feature essential topics in advanced practice nursing including crucial regulatory guidelines, urology, behavioral-psychosocial symptoms of dementia, and in-depth panel discussions on maximizing the preceptor-student relationship to prepare the next generation of APRNs.
- There will be a special closing session on death certificate training
- Full Lunch with opportunities to network with professionals and industry organizations sharing a common mission to improve the lives of older adults.
- Awesome Raffle Prizes to benefit the Penny Maynard Scholarship
- 2-Breaks with Refreshments
- This event will offer six CE credits for those who participate in the entire activity
Continuing Education
Continuing education credits will be applied for through the Emory Nursing Professional Development Center.
Registration Refund and Cancellation Policy
The deadline to cancel a registration is February 21, 2026. All cancellations must be made in writing (mail or email) and will not be accepted by telephone. A $50 administrative fee will be charged on any cancellation after February 21, 2026. No refunds will be given after February 28, 2026.

In addition to recognition in our conference program and signage at the event, each of your company representatives will receive a program syllabus, list of conference attendees, breakfast, lunch, and access to all sessions at the conference. A standard 6x2 foot table will be supplied. Please let us know if you need a tablecloth! Attendees are actively encouraged to visit and engage with Exhibitors throughout the conference day.
